TREES CAN COMMUNICATE WITH EACHOTHER

     Trees can communicate with one another. Trees share water and nutrients through underground fungal networks and also use them to communicate. Trees are interdependent and cooperative when sharing their feelings about nature and the environment. There are some people who claim that we can understand and speak their language with some techniques.

     Forest trees have evolved to live in cooperative, interdependent relationships, maintained by communication and a collective intelligence similar to an insect colony.  Their real action is taking place underground just a few inches below our feet. According to Ecologist Suzanne Simard, trees have a sophisticated and interconnected social network existing underground. In the forest, the tallest trees are hub tress. They have greater access to sunlight and through the process of photosynthesis. They need underground fungi to provide  sugar to survive, most of the fungi bodies are made out of a mass of threads called mycelium. Mycelium absorbs the excess sugar and it provides the tree with nutrients. Tress can communicate with each other via the mycelium.

    There is an important question about trees. Can we learn to speak their language? Yes, we can still keep trying to understand their language. Doctor Haskell says “Trees are biology’s philosophers, dialoguing over the ages and offering up a quiet wisdom. We should listen, they know what they are talking about.” So there are some techniques to communicate with trees. Firstly, place your hands on a tree or its roots and close your eyes and tune into its energy. Gaze upon the tree and simply observe it. Many times this will bring thoughts, questions and answers into our conscious awareness.

    When everything is taken into consideration, it’s quite easy to understand that trees can transfer information to eachother and we have the ability to understand these mechanisms. Trees speak to eachother in a language and we can listen to.

A BROKEN BODY ISN'T A BROKEN PERSON

             

As Janine Stephend told us clearly, there is nothing mankind can not do in his life. She is a brilliant example for us to realize we have a big chance because we have a soul to improve even if we are broken. We are healthy but do not know what an excellent thing it is to have good health. We always complain about unimportant matters and make ourselves unhappy.

It is very easy to find a negative event or thing instead of good ones to feel we’re unlucky. We tend to start thinking that the situation we live in is unfair and we don’t deserve it when we encounter a hardship. We always compare ourselves to someone because he has more qualifications than we have.We  always have big dreams that have to happen in a minute or else we consider that we have been dealt a bad hand by God. We are always in a competition that finishes with just one person and this person must be ourselves. If we really care about our family, we think, it affects  this ‘important’ work badly and wastes our ‘valuable’ time. We are always in a hurry when we prepare our schedules. There is no time to sit and think for a while about what we are doing.

We call some people ‘blind’ but we are the only blind ones because we can not see how beautiful life is. We call some people ‘deaf’ but we are the only deaf ones because we can not hear the good words that people say; how intelligent or beautiful we are. We call some people ‘broken’ because they can not walk or use some parts of their bodies but we are the only broken ones because we can not move in our little dark spaces and can not use our brain  to hug people with our behavior and words. We call them broken or blind but we do not realize that they have a comparable heart which lifts them from their wheelchairs and they have an eye that they can not only see the objects we see but also feel a person’s emotions in all their variations. They all have a sense of humour that we never had. If we see those people all around the world, we can understand they have bigger ambitions than we had because they know that they are very capable of doing whatever they want.

To sum up, it is very sad that we do not consider our amazing features which make us live and achieve something. We all deserve good things but they are always in someone’s hands. They know what they have and thank God everyday because it is a new day to breathe one more time. And it is not worth wasting this amount of time on unnecessary conversations or works. When we all see a broken person, then, we are thankful for our health. Yes, it is good to pray but actually, they are not broken. The only broken thing is our hearts.

WHAT PSYCHOPATHS TEACH US ABOUT HOW TO SUCCEED

There is no doubt that surviving and being successful in the work environment has been tough since the level of  competition amongst individuals has reached its peak .In order to make  unprecedented progress in business life, a person should have some qualifications which enable him/her to surpass his/her colleagues. As individuals who rank high in the hierarchy in companies encounter various types of challenging situations and deal with employees from different walks of life, they have to adopt distinct traits which allow them to find a way compatible with the requirements of the circumstances. That is why, As far as I am concerned, the administrators of both international or local companies should have various positive and negative characteristics to be able to achieve their aims.

         To begin with, I believe the positive hallmarks which each and every  administrator  ought to have are determination, fearlessness, and focus. The combination of these three characteristics brings about success. Along with fearlessness, determination is one of the important traits in business life since there are a host of obstacles which prevent people from reaching their goals. For example, people in quest of profit and success tend to adopt deviant behaviors so as to intimidate their rivals and force them to give up but if one has enough determination to take  action and to persist in this action, s/he can easily overcome the hurdles emerging as a result of competition. The second trait is the ability to focus entirely on an undertaken duty. Most administrators are capable of continuing to work on the tasks that have  utmost importance and their obsessions are their main incentives which compel them to completely and successfully finish their duty.

          Secondly, there are negative characteristics that are useful and feasible in business life, but that are regarded as psychopathic hallmarks detrimental to not only a person having these but also others with whom they interact. The administrators differ from other workers who they employed  in that they have aforementioned traits which give a chance to them to promote and rise in the hierarchy. It goes without saying that controlling and leading a group is tough because in the presence of problems and conflicts people tend to quit and slack off their duties. In order to eliminate these problems and conflicts, an administrator sometimes has to be ruthless since s/he has to explain the importance of the tasks which they undertake and how they should do that.

To sum up, we are not aware of it at first but from the aforementioned arguments we can easily see that apart from the positive hallmarks, administrators should have some negative characteristics in order to keep employees efficiently working and to be good at their jobs.

IS OUR POLITICAL VIEW REALLY ENCODED IN OUR GENES?

         A gene is a molecular unit of every living organism for instance each cell in the human body contains about 32.000 genes.so what are genes?  A gene is something which carries information that goes toward determinig your traits such as eye color, blood type and some of your physical characteristics.Hovewer recent studies show that genes do not just determine your physical characteristics for example the study of genopolitics. Scientists work with identical and freternal twins ,and studies show that identical twins (who have more similar genes than fraternal twins ) have more similar political views. Also scientists think genes affect our personality and thinking.In conclusion,  genes affect people’s behaviors , personality ,views ,and physical character.

            The result of the genetic studies bring new questions ; can we encode gens? can we learn people’s future choises?  Can we change people’s personality or political views by encodig genes?  Firstly, scientific research and experiments show that we can encode genes and we can change something which depends on genes such as producing chickens with four wings . Hovewer, it is not healthy and it can  cause cancer because scientists can not encode successfully like in nature; maybe they  will be able to encode successfully in the future.Secondly , scientists say: “some simple traits –like eye color- are directly controlled by a small number of genes .But most things like political views – have no sole genetic cause.” So we can learn simple things by analyzing genes but we can not learn personality or political views yet and because we do not exactly know how genes impact our views either we can not change people’s views by encodig genes.

            To sum up,genetics is a new science and it is like a dark room.We can not know what will happen when we discover the secret of genes.It can benefit us like producing legs or arms for people who do not have legs or arms.It could also bring diseasters like cancer.In my opinion, scientific research has to proceed carefully and before trying new things on people, they have to be sure   not to cause bad results.

ROALD DAHL AND HIS SHORT STORIES

The purpose of this piece of writing: to convince you to read the stories. Let me know if it achieves its purpose

Roald Dahl’s parents were Norwegian but he was born in Llandaff, Glamorgan in 1916. On the outbreak of the Second World War, he enlisted in the RAF, Nairobi. He was severely wounded after joining a fighter squadron in Libya but later saw action as a fighter pilot in Greece and Syria. He was the writer of many modern children’s classics such as “The BFG”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and many others. Other than these better known books, he wrote many short story books for adults that became equally popular. Today, I would like to talk about three of these: “Kiss Kiss”, Someone Like You” and more tales of the unexpected.

Collections of the writer’s short stories were printed after the writer’s death in 1990 so some stories do appear in two books at once but this is really the only criticism that can be leveled at them. Roald Dahl has an ironical even twisted sense of humour which he lets lose in all his stories. He masterfully builds up the suspense all through the story only to jolt you to the conclusion in a way that has the same effect as a slap in the face. It is not so much that you didn2y expect things to end like that; it is just that you had realized the possibility and had been praying that it wouldn’t  end like that ever since the beginning. As often as not, you feel the need to put down the book and think about something all together different just to calm down.

Want some examples? Take a look at the room where little Adolph was born and pray with Frau Hitler that her child will live this time. Something technological? How about some facts? Did you know that most of the books you read with such pleasure, all the while exclaiming about the feeling the writer has put into the book are, in fact, written by “The Great Automatic Grammatizator” invented by Adolph Knipe, in America some time ago? It is believed that he has bought all the writers now. The machine is very large and extremely efficient; it can write any book you program it to write in a matter of minutes. If you are interested in science fiction, meet William and Mary Pearl. Mr Pearl has agreed to take part in a scientific experiment during which the scientists will endevour to keep his brain alive after he is dead with one eye attached so that he can see.  He was originally going to be kept in the laboratory but Mary insists on taking him home. She means to start again doing all the things he wouldn’t let her do. She says it will be companionable to have him sitting on a shelf watching. It is a pity that he can’t speak though.

If you are bored of all the science, you could consider a little bet to relax. Take a look at Michael Schofield’s dinner party where the guest of honor is Richard Pratt, a wine expert , and guess what? They are having a bet right now. Michael has betted his daughter’s hand in marriage, no less, that Richard will fail to recognize the taste of his new bottle of wine. He is very confident and he will win Richard’s large house if he fails. What do you imagine will happen? Do you want to bet Michael will get the house? Fine; bet he won’t though. Speaking of houses, do you like that house over there? It belongs to the Foster’s and even has an elevator, which, unfortunately, seems to be out of order. The elevator seems to have gone bust on the day the pair took off on a journey to Paris for two weeks. At least, Mrs. Foster was on her way to Paris and Mr. Foster had meant to see her off. He kept har waiting for quite a while although he knew she was terrified of being late. She ended up going on her own after all; her thoughtless husband must have changed his mind.  When she eventually came back, she found the elevator was stuck. She assumed it must have happened on the day she left as the servants had been on leave for a fortnight. Imagine if anyone was stuck inside? Some people are like that; positively terrified of being late for trains, planes and things. Speaking of which, here comes the train now and I do believe that it is Mr. Perkins getting on there. He has been sharing his compartment with a man who is almost surely “Galloping Foxley”, the bully that made his life hell at school. It is strange that the man hasn’t recognized him yet. After long hesitations, he has decided to introduce himself and see what will happen. And last but not least, if you look carefully, you will see a little boy playing on the carpet in the house over there. He is pretending that if he steps on the black bits he will be swallowed up. It is simply a child’s game of course isn’t it?

We could continue in this vein for hours and hours but it would be much more exciting if you go and buy the books and read them for yourself. There is one simple reason for this: Roald Dahl is an experience not to be missed by anyone who enjoys a shake now and then, literature lover or otherwise. Once you start reading the stories , what your initial opinion was doesn’t really matter because once you’ve read Roald Dahl, you cannot help admitting that in the short story category, Roald Dahl is a genre on his own. Those who have read his stories before will, I am sure, agree.

THE NEW, THIRD FORM OF COMMUNICATION: SOCIAL MEDIA

Humans are social by nature; they like to live in large close knit groups and interact on a regular basis. Neanderthals, scientists claim, were unable to talk like we do but modern humans overcame that little problems thanks to evolution. Chattering away not always being enough, the written language and written communication followed; universal education became the measure of success and literacy rates soared. Now, humans have a new form of communication that has taken its place alongside the older forms: social media.

In the beginning, there was a certain amount of reaction, which was only natural. Face to face communication, it was claimed, would suffer: people would not be able to socialize; they would become alienated from each other; it was the thin end of the wedge and disaster was sure to follow. Society as we knew it would collapse and we, humans, would become replicas of the zombies from “The Return of the Walking Dead”. None of these fears have materialized needless to say, and social media has become the new form of communication. If you imagine that social media is the realm of youth who are disengaged from society, you need to think again.

Even social media virgins are scrambling to open Twitter accounts now that Donald Trump has become the president of the most powerful democracy in the world. Trump habitually informs the nation and the rest of the world of his reactions to events, his proposed policies and their justifications as well as his personal opinions via Twitter, in real time. The world media, Chinese leaders and even the North Koreans and Iranians are now following him on Twitter. Trump isn’t the only politician with a social media account. Politicians worldwide have discovered this wonderful way of communicating with the electorate. It is hardly possible to speak to everyone in the country and sometimes the world directly. It is possible to write but then the said politician would have to sit and pray that those pesky voters actually take the trouble to read what is written. However, one tweet or post on Facebook, and the politician has everyone’s attention within seconds. Recent political campaigns are proof of the grip social media has on politicians.

Big business, which has many of the same concerns and aspirations as politicians, were not to be left behind. They have latched on to social media for dear life. Every businessman worth his salt, every single company big or small, every department, every educational institution and all major celebs are all on social media. The British accountants’ society for example will invite you to follow them on Facebook or Twitter. The pull of being able actually address the whole world, be listened to and reacted to by people on the other side of the globe, the opportunity to reach  out to party supporters, potential customers, clients or fans so quickly and efficiently is an opportunity which is hard to resist.  Social media is a new way of checking the public pulse, manipulating the market, gaining loyal followers and advertising which now discovered, will never disappear. Social media is here to stay as it is the answer to the prayers of everyone in the public sphere.

Private individuals, the average Joe, have social circles too; they need to exchange opinions with people around them, cooperate for one reason or another and confide in others. Social media gives individuals the chance to connect with anyone, anywhere in the world at any time. Social media is just a new and novel way of communicating; nothing more. It has its downsides but so does regular conversation. One must remember that quarrels, arguments, belittlement, verbal abuse, intimidation and threats are also forms of communication. It would be nonsensical to decide to stop talking to people and live like a hermit just because this is so. Social media is a natural outcome of globalization and used responsibly, has the potential to widen one’s world and bring people closer together.

To sum up, a backlash against new unfamiliar practices should not be surprising but social media has proved its worth and is here to stay for better or for worse. If people don’t wish to be left behind, they need to set up their accounts and jump into the conversation. As Bob Dylan so aptly put it those that get hurt will be those who have stalled;  people shouldn’t “block up the hallways”; they should allow innovations to take place.
