THE SERIOUS LONG TERM EFFECTS OF DEFORESTATION

People have been living in a highly global world that they contribute to  in a myriad of ways such as developing technology, medicine and so forth. Unfortunately, when it comes to the damage done by  human beings, it can be easily asserted that the earth has undergone innumerable changes ranging from climate to social issues. As can be known, deforestation is the most serious one that has the potential  to adversely affect our whole lives. By permanently destroying most of the forests so as to make the land available for other uses, mankind is more likely to cause  a devastating chain of events both locally and all around the world.
One major effect, and also a very common one, is mass extinction of species. Scientifically, seventy percent of the world’s plants and animals are living in forests and are losing their habitats to deforestation. Indeed, forests are complex ecosystems that have a tremendous impact on all kinds of species on the planet. When they are degraded, there is no shelter for these  creatures. According to naturalists, thanks to the destruction of forests, there is a serious threat to biodiversity. Equally important, trees are integral to the water cycle. They can absorb rain fall and then produce water vapor that is released into the atmosphere; thus, with less forested land , water pollution is  more likely to increase.
Apart from upsetting the balance of the ecosystem, deforestation may cause abrupt changes in temperature,  which  brings about climate change. In other words, destroying forests causes carbon dioxide to remain in the atmosphere. Such an adverse change in atmospheric conditions will have a direct effect on climate change:  while some of the cool climates may become a lot hotter, hot places might get a lot cooler. As forests are incapable of utilizing the green house gases by restoring the balance in the atmosphere, the persistent changes in the climate may cost the life of most species.
All things considered, even though deforestation may seem to be  just the removal of forests, it may lead to several imbalances both ecologically and environmentally. Extinction of plant and animal species and changes in climate that cause disasters including drought should be taken into account to make the planet more livable for every creature. The government has the opportunity to create the most beneficial solution to this issue by not only curbing the felling of trees but also passing several laws.
